Welcome to our annual exhibition that celebrates the unique quality and craftsmanship of Devon Guild Maker Members. It all began back in 1955 when a group of local makers worked together and organised a joint exhibition of their work, which has inspired others ever since.

The work you see in this exhibition is handmade by a selection of our 200+ membership. Our Maker Members, like so many of us, have had a particularly challenging year and we are proud to present their work and commend their perseverance and innovation; creatively working with and around the tests of a pandemic and national lockdown.

The Spring Show is open to all Full Maker Members of the Devon Guild. The pieces are chosen by the Selection Committee (a group of Maker Member representatives from a range of craft disciplines and an independent panellist), alongside Devon Guild exhibition staff.

Each year prizes are awarded to exhibitors whose work shows an outstanding use of craft skill and innovation. The following awards will be presented:

President’s Prize - Chosen by Peter Randall-Page RA (President of Devon Guild of Craftsmen)

Selection Committee Award for Excellence - Chosen by the Selection Committee

Devon Guild Featured Makers Award – Chosen by the Exhibition Team

Once selected, the winners of these three awards will be identified in the exhibition.

People’s Choice Award – You too can vote for your favourite Maker from the exhibition. Look out for the QR code in the exhibition when you’re there which will take you to the online voting form.
