Nick Rees

I never tire of exploring the subtleties of form. For example, how a shape can change at the top of a pot by the process of taking away a little more clay at its lowest part. The visual volume changes with just the slightest adjustment of profile line. There is always an exploration to be made from my family of shapes as well as the definition of that form through decorative techniques and glaze quality to further express my love of hand thrown pots.
