Woven quintet

Set of 5 ikat, hand dyed, loom woven and stretched silk canvases.

This is a woven diary, following a sunny Indian trip to Goa and the World Heritage site of Hampi in Karnataka. Returning just before lockdown 1, this quintet of weaves records a journey: 

1. The remnants of a much older and long abandoned community is etched into the stone at Hampi.

2. Women dressed in bright saris whilst working in emerald green, sun drenched paddy fields.

3. An old Portuguese guesthouse in Southern Goa.

4. & 5.  The sun, moon and sea washing unspoilt beaches.
