From a range of Peace Guns created as gentler evolution from the glass guns made for last year’s exhibition; inspired by my strong reaction to a film on the effects of the War in Syria. Again I have used the visual ambiguity of the glass gun to emphasize fragility. The Peace Guns combine the image of the bird of freedom and peace with the gun, an image of oppression and aggression. I am feeling the fragility and loss of our own personal freedoms during the pandemic.
