Luna North
Luna North | Printmaking | Devon
Luna makes contemporary Linocut relief prints from her home on Exmoor, Devon. Her work explores the relationships between flora and fauna, surveying the land, its creatures, wildflowers, and insects. Whether watching insects pollinate flowers or noticing weather patterns unfolding around them. She focuses on the microcosms of natural life and the small ecologies that often go unnoticed.
Luna creates colour stories that are sensitively told through limited palettes, balancing muted pastels with rich, local earth tones. These considered compositions aim to capture the essence of a specific plant or a unique viewpoint, evoking the feeling of being at one with nature and immersed within a wild British landscape.
Her prints are created using linocut and the multi-block method, printed on an Etching press. Each print is part of a limited edition.
Her print collections have been exhibited nationally and she has this year, 2026 illustrated a book cover for Profile Books publishers. She studied a Fine Art degree at the Falmouth school of Art in 1986. She has her second solo exhibition this year 2026 in Devon.
Luna has a unique creative voice with a distinctive use of colour, rhythm and light.
