Braidmaking for Children

Workshop with Jacqui Carey

Thursday 27 July 2023, 10am - 12pm

£5

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: Children & Families

Level: Beginner

Join Jacqui Carey for a creative session suitable for children and families.

Use a medieval technique to create colourful braids with chunky yarn. Loops of thread are held on the fingers and manipulated to produce various patterns – ideal for making special friendship bracelets.

Each ticket purchased will provide enough materials for one attendee.

We ask that children under the age of 11 are accompanied by an adult and children under the age of 7, have hands-on support.

Workshop capacity: 12 attendees plus accompanying adults.

On the Day

All materials will be provided.

On arrival, please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.

Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces
