Room spaces from our furniture makers

This image features beautifully curated room sets at the (then named) Devon Guild of Craftsmen’s annual exhibition, held on this particular year, 1962, in Totnes Civic Hall.
When we proposed a similar concept to show the work of our furniture makers, we hoped to give them a chance to try out new ideas, but we also asked them for ideas of makers whose work would complement their furniture, such as wall-hung textiles, prints and interiors accessories.
A love letter to craft’s place in the home.
