Carbon Footprint Calculation Workshop
Tuesday 14 March 2023, 10.30am - 12.30pm | FREE | Online
This online workshop, hosted by Jamie Saye of SAIL, will be an in-depth workshop in how the carbon footprint of handcrafted products can be calculated. The session will follow the Corporate Value Chain Accounting and Reporting Standard from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, an internationally recognised standard for carbon footprint reporting.
Booking required.
During the workshop, we will cover:
The difference between Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
How to calculate scope 1 and 2 emissions by using the Greenhouse gas reporting conversion factors from the department of Business, Energy and Industrial strategy (BEIS)
How to calculate scope 1 and 2 emissions by using the Greenhouse gas reporting conversion factors from the department of Business, Energy and Industrial strategy (BEIS)
How to quantify and calculate scope 3 emissions both upstream and downstream using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Technical Guidance for Calculating Scope 3 Emissions
Add together the calculated 1, 2 and 3 emissions to arrive at the final carbon footprint figure
At the end of the session, makers will know how to manually calculate the carbon footprint of their products, which will inform them how to take further action.
You can sign the GMI pledge anytime for free.
The session will be recorded and made available to MAKE Southwest Maker Members after the live session.
