Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office Talk

We are very excited to be welcoming Adam Phillips who has worked for the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office for over 25 years working throughout multiple different departments to his current position of Deputy General Manager. His main love is large silverware, which is where he spent the bulk of the earlier part of his career, in applying the large struck hallmarks on to these pieces, having done so recently by helping King Charles III apply a hallmark. Having years of experience and knowledge with regards to the Hallmarking process and the Goldsmiths’ Company as a whole, he is in a perfect position to give everyone greater knowledge and help into further understanding the laws and history behind this near 700 year old practice.
