Meet the Makers

Saturday 7 December 2024, 10.30am - 1pm

FREE, drop-in

Venue: MAKE Southwest, Maker Showcase Gallery

Suitable for: All

Join Katie Bunnell, Donna Burns and Sarah Drew in their joint CANOPY show to chat about their new work, discuss the importance of woodland and share their favourite places to be under and around trees.

Sarah will be bringing photos from her recent trip to Scandinavia to share her inspiration for the found forest collage jewellery pieces in the exhibition. They will be happy to chat and answer any questions you might have about techniques, inspiration and processes: and will be happy to hear any feedback on the exhibition.

The three makers have worked together exhibiting with Terramater Art in Cornwall at galkeries such as Tremenheere Sculpture Park and Penwith Gallery in St Ives. As well as being a member of Make Southwest, Sarah is a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Precious Collective and Association of Contemporary Jewellery and in recent years has exhibited jewellery in Milan, Brussels and Bucharest.

Sarah, Donna and Katie’s exhibition CANOPY is on show in our Maker Showcase Gallery, an exhibition space dedicated to showcasing the high quality work of membership of makers:
