Sally Baldwin

Sally is a textile artist working two and three dimensionally with materials including papers, silks and silk fibres.
She uses techniques such as stitch, papermaking, collage and sculpting to create both framed pieces and installation sculptures and hangings.
Her work is concerned with natural forms, in particular plants and botanical structures, and her most recent body of work ‘Fragile Earth’ looks at environmental fragility in the face of climate change and habitat loss.
Sally has a Degree in Textiles and Surface Pattern and worked in Fashion and then teaching. She now works from her studio in Mid Devon.
