Working by hand, woven textiles, sustainable materials, natural colour and plant dyes have long been part of Jenny’s life.
She now works from home, running a north Devon hill farm for habitat conservation and biodiversity. Shetland sheep provide wool for textiles.
This is way of life craft, in and from the landscape, hands on, outdoors, then into the workshop to develop ideas, ruminate, experiment, dye yarns and produce.
Each rug is unique, though often related to others made on the same warp. They work equally well hung in a room, or robustly withstanding life on floors. Some are quiet and restrained in natural colours, others bold in design and strong colour.
Most content whilst following her own direction, she also works to commission.
