Paper Pop-Up
Workshop with Elod Beregszaszi of Popupology
Friday 19 January 2024, 2pm - 5pm
£35
Venue: MAKE Southwest
Suitable for: Adults
Level: All Levels
Join us for a truly 'pop-up' experience with a creative workshop introducing paper engineering techniques to design, cut and fold a personalised cityscape paper sculpture.
The workshop will provide an insight into the basics of Origamic Architecture (OA) using simple geometric principles to design a popup structure from a single sheet of card with a combination of cuts and folds.
Using a set of pre-cut stencils you will draw your template and arrange your architectural façade features before cutting and then finally folding your final cityscape design.
At the end of the workshop you will also receive a digital learning resource for further exploration of OA techniques and to develop your design skills.
Elod Beregszaszi will be showing work in our upcoming exhibition Pulp, which runs from the 20th of January - 13th of April 2024.
Some previous experience of working with paper or in paper craft would be helpful for this workshop.
