A talk by photographer Vanda Ralevska with Q+A.

Vanda Ralevska is a photographer based in London, member of Arena Photographers Group and a regular judge for Landscape Photographer of the Year. She hopes to inspire other photographers to discover the beauty that exists within everyday scenes, and to look beyond the obvious. She says:

"Many times my photographs are a response to the moment in time that I find myself in, however quite often I like to focus on a particular subject. Over time I realised that only one image is not enough to reflect the way I see and feel about the world around me. Therefore, in recent years I have been focusing on working in projects rather than capturing individual images.

In this talk I will be discussing my ongoing photographic projects and how they help in developing a personal view. "

This event is part of a programme of talks and workshops around the exhibition Responding to Light: the diversity of modern photography, at MAKE Southwest, 16 September - 4 November 2023.

The exhibition will showcase some of the huge range of techniques, subjects, and skills associated with contemporary British photography, including digital and analogue technologies, in large and small scales, 2D and 3D forms.

There is an extensive programme of events around this exhibition, including talks and masterclasses with most of the exhibitors. Please see our other events.

Please note, we have a specific cancellation policy for all events associated with this exhibition due to the distances speakers will be travelling. View cancellation policy HERE.
