System Shift Take Action: SME Carbon Footprinting | Running Mid-October & November | FREE

How can you take meaningful action on climate change as a local enterprise based here in Devon?

Join Low Carbon Devon for a series of interactive and informative carbon footprinting workshops enabling you to put theory into action and help make net-zero a reality.

Ambition into action

Calculating your carbon emissions is an essential part of tackling the climate emergency, enabling you to understand where you are and how you can improve.

This workshop series will transform your ambition into action. Each session will walk you through the process of calculating your carbon emissions, helping you to understand carbon footprinting, scope 1, 2 and 3 and what makes measuring and reducing these so important.

You will leave these workshops with an actual measurement of your organisation’s carbon emissions, which you can use to identify areas of improvement and proactively take positive action.

Organisations are required to attend all four sessions in this workshop series to ensure that you receive the full information to guide you through the carbon footprinting process and make sure that it is as beneficial to your business as possible.

Workshop 1: Thursday 20 October 14:00-16:00 - Scene setting

This workshop will explain why measuring carbon emissions is important, set out what net zero means and provide an introduction to carbon footprinting, including setting out what information is needed for the next workshop.

Workshop 2: Thursday 3 November 14:00-16:00 – Calculating your emissions

During this workshop LCD will walk you through the process of measuring your carbon emissions, demonstrate the process and introduce some useful guidance and tools. For this session, you will need access to information such as utility bills and vehicle mileage.

Workshop 3: Thursday 10 November 14:00-16:00 - Scope 3 and offsetting

During this workshop, you will be introduced to scope 3 emissions and the challenges involved in measuring and reducing these. We will also discuss carbon offsetting and the next steps toward reducing your emissions having calculated them.

Workshop 4: Thursday 17 November 14:00-16:00 – Product Life Cycle Assessment Introduction
