Self-taught mixed media maker, Kate Toms, creates 3D sculptural pieces from her Devon workshop.
Using paper, felt, wire, cloth and wood, Kate explores the ordinary and the everyday, both past and present - celebrating the humdrum with a gentle humour, inviting the viewer to connect and to create their own narratives around each piece.
Kate enjoys working to commission, occasionally selling directly through retail shows and galleries - she runs workshops in needle felting and character creation.
