StreetDraw24 Bovey Tracey

2pm Friday 13 September - 2pm Saturday 14 September 2024

FREE, drop-in

Venue: MAKE Southwest, Discover Making Space, Jubilee Gallery

Suitable for: All

Join StreetDraw24 & Grace & Favour Home for our first Bovey Tracey draw & exhibition in support of Amber Foundation’s work with young people facing complex challenges and homelessness. Whatever your age and whether you draw regularly or haven’t drawn since school, this free event is for you!

Settle yourself in our ‘Discover Making’ area in the corner of our Jubilee Gallery (or outside if the weather is good!) and create your artistic representation of our beautiful, grade II listed, Riverside Mill.

We’ll pick our favourite from the entries handed in to Grace & Favour Home (up the high street) and the winner will receive a £40 gift voucher to spend at MAKE Southwest, as well as having their artwork featured on our outside information board when we get our water wheel fixed!

How to participate

It’s easy to take part in Bovey Tracey’s first StreetDraw24…

1. Pick up a Participation Pack…

Grab a pack from Grace & Favour Home, 54 Fore Street, Bovey Tracey, TQ13 9AE. You don’t need a pack to take part, but they are nice! Packs are available 9am–4.30pm Fri 13th, 9am–2pm Sat 14th September.

2. Go drawing…

Find something to draw with and something to draw on, then get out onto the streets of Bovey Tracey and capture what you see. Go solo, with a friend or join a group draw. Scan the QR code for group draw details.

3. Donate a drawing…

Everyone who donates their work to us will feature in our October exhibition. Hand in at Grace & Favour Home during the draw (open 9am–4.30pm both days) or later by arrangement.

4. Visit the free exhibition…

See your work alongside that of other drawers in a big, beautiful love letter to Bovey Tracey and maybe buy a picture (or two)! All work is sold at the same affordable price.

5. Feel good…

Images sold during the exhibition help raise funds for the charity Amber Foundation. There are many reasons young people find themselves in challenging circumstances and facing homelessness, but whatever they are, the team at Amber Foundation is there to help.
