Can Potters Save the Earth? 5 Science-Based Steps to Eco-Friendly Ceramics.

Wondering how we, as potters, can do our part for the planet?

If you've ever felt a sense of responsibility or even a little guilt about the carbon footprint of your ceramics journey, this webinar is tailor-made for you. If your goal is to use your pottery to make a positive impact on the world and its people, don't miss out – sign up for the online lecture now!

There's a worldwide wave of conscious and eco-friendly pottery taking shape. Numerous ceramic artists are exploring cleaner methods for crafting, firing, and selling their pieces. Surprisingly, even the ceramic industry as a whole is undergoing transformation ‒ the British Ceramic Federation has committed to slashing its carbon emissions to achieve Net Zero by 2050. But how do we determine where to begin and which steps genuinely create a positive impact?

Join this webinar and learn about the new research on studio ceramics' environmental footprint and the top 5 steps to do less harm with a pottery practice.

We'll look at inspiring examples and learn practical tips for both new and experienced ceramic artists, covering firing, materials, waste, studio management, and more.

The session will run as a webinar for 45 minutes with 15 minutes left at the end for Q&A.

This event is part of our Green Maker Initiative and is free to attend.

The Zoom link will be provided to the email address you registered with a couple of days prior.

All registered participants will receive a discount coupon for Yuliya's new book  'Potters Save the World: Learn to make sustainable ceramics and help protect the Earth'
