Charlotte Eatock
Charlotte Eatock is a designer maker with a background in contemporary jewellery. She works with recycled metals and ocean plastics gathered from the Devon and Cornish coast. Drawn to the quiet stories held within discarded materials, this overlooked waste, once part of everyday life is slowly and patiently transformed into objects that carry meaning and beautifully challenge our perception of value.
Her mobiles continue this way of thinking in a larger, more spacious form. Created with an experimental and playful approach, each mobile is built piece by piece, slowly and patiently using washed up plastics, off cuts and recycled materials to create balance and interesting forms.
Charlotte’s mobiles are like enlarged pieces of jewellery set into motion, moving lightly with the air or a gentle touch. They echo Charlotte’s ongoing exploration of value, transformation and the shifting relationship between waste and worth.
