Corrinne Eira Evans

Corrinne Eira Evans | Jewellery | Devon

Corrinne is fascinated with the exploration of the heritage technique of flat chainmail. Focusing on utilising a combination of raw precious metal colours and interlocking them in bold and subtle patterns in the construction of a flowing tactile metal textile, she makes wearable contemporary jewellery with a timeless appeal.

Inspired by the undulations of the Dartmoor landscape, Corrinne makes chainmail pieces that flow with the contours of the body. All of her work is crafted from top quality ethical materials in order to produce one-off high-end contemporary jewellery pieces, including earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, bangles, and brooches.

The combination of recycled golds, silver, and titanium create a soft, sensual palette, ensuring the wearability of the pieces. These metals also echo Corrinne's connection to the land, particularly Dartmoor, which is near her home in Devon.

The silver and golds act as a shimmering presence within the matt grey of the titanium: a contrast that lends itself so beautifully to the overall unique designs she loves to produce. Every ring is constructed individually and meditatively ‘knitted’ together in the absorbing process of flat chainmail, an important core to her designs, maintaining a connection with the human handcrafted quality that enriches each piece.

Corrinne was chosen to feature in London's prestigious Goldsmiths' Fair 40th Anniversary exhibition, alongside work from 136 of the UK's top jewellers and silversmiths. Corrinne was also selected by British Vogue's Jewellery and Watch Director Rachel Garrahan as one of five of the 'new jewellers to see at Goldsmiths'.
