Simon Bayliss is a potter based at Porthmeor Studios in St Ives, Cornwall.  With a background as an artist, making paintings and dance music, he later trained as a potter and works mainly in terracotta clay with slipware decorating techniques. He was raised in Andros, Bahamas, then East Devon, and has been living in Cornwall most of his adult life. Bayliss teaches pottery at Tresabenn Studio in Cornwall, and is an Associate Lecturer in Fine Art BA, at Falmouth University. His work is currently in public collection displays at Manchester Art Gallery and Tate St Ives.
