Recycled Paper Puppets

Children & Families Workshop with The Wowhaus

Saturday 9 November 2024, 2.30pm - 4pm

£2.50

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: 6+ (with accompanying adult)

Level: All Abilities

Join Helena from The Wowhaus to make lovely paper puppets from scrap and recycled materials.

We’ll explore the history of puppetry and embark on our own puppet making adventure, using a technique employed by almost all puppeteers.

Helena will walk you through this special technique step by step. Then we will dress our puppets, give them character, and take them for a walk or a dance…

This workshop is suitable for children aged 6 and up, but young children should be accompanied by an adult. Adults do not need to book tickets.

Part of the Green Maker Initiative Season

Throughout November, December and January we’ll be celebrating our Green Maker Initiative (GMI) Season; hosting events, workshops and exhibitions themed around the natural world and championing sustainable craft.
