a Green Maker Initiative workshop - part of the Great Big Green Week
Join Susie Honnor and MAKE Southwest for a creative community craft session!
The aim of the workshop is to create 4 decorative artworks that will be on display in Bovey Tracey for the duration of Bovey Tracey’s Great Big Green Week, 13 - 21 June.
We’ll work together to create colourful decorations for the community event using donated bicycle wheels and reused fabrics - inspired by this year’s cycling theme.
No experience is needed, just enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to have a go. This is a chance to meet others, share ideas, and help make something joyful for the celebrations using reclaimed materials that might otherwise go to waste.
We’ll provide materials, but if you have any old fabrics, scraps, ribbons, or interesting textiles tucked away at home that could be reused, please bring them along on the day.
The images used to represent this workshop were AI generated. They can be used as a starting point for collective ideas or they can be replicated in the session. The outcome of the artwork will be decided by the workshop attendees on the day.
On the Day
All tools and materials will be provided.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are included and will be available on the day. Our Café is also open should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the session.
On arrival, please enter via the shop, follow the arrows to the back of the retail galleries. Our new education space is on the ground floor at the rear of the building.
Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces. Click here for more information on our location and car parking for the day.
