Comments about their last show at MAKE Southwest in 2019:
"Thanks to Arts Live for last night's wonderful evening of songs, stories and poetry, set to a backdrop of gorgeous photography. We're already looking forward to your next performance!"
Join Arts Live members, Carol Ballenger, Graham Hodgson, John Powls, Susan Taylor and Simon Williams for an afternoon event combining photographs, poems, stories, music and songs showcasing their latest sea-themed project which includes the Water Worlds exhibition now showing at MAKE Southwest and the launch of the accompanying book.
Inspired by the shallow intertidal waters of St Ives Bay, Cornwall, the images reflect the special light for which this area is known. Water Worlds also represents the fragile eco-systems of tidepools, the undiscovered worlds in the ocean depths, and the distant planets and moons in our galaxy scientists have named "Water Worlds".
Arts Live will also perform selected work from their earlier projects as they celebrate over 30 years of collaboration inspired by the stunning landscapes of the Westcountry.
The event is expected to last 1hr 30 mins with a short interval in between, which will provide an opportunity to view the Water Worlds book, visit the exhibition and to meet with Arts Live members.
Copies of the book Water Worlds, Reflections in a Tidepool, will be available for purchase at £9.95.
After being on show in MAKE Southwest’s Print Room Gallery, the Water Worlds exhibition goes to the Avivson gallery in Highgate, London, in November 2025.
