Join Staying Alive exhibitor Vicky Putler and learn about the heritage craft of corn dolly making in this interactive, drop-in workshop.

Visitors are invited to take part in creating a striking, free-standing giant corn dolly made from willow and flax straw.

Contribute your own handiwork whilst discovering the traditional techniques and the history behind this heritage craft. No prior experience is needed — just drop in, get involved, and be part of a collaborative activity.

This drop-in workshop will be led by Staying Alive exhibitor Vicky Putler who runs the Flax Project C.I.C. For more information please visit - Flax Project CIC.

Vicky’s work is on display, alongside other endangered crafts from the Southwest of England, in our exhibition Staying Alive, co-curated by Heritage Crafts, 2 May - 4 July 2026.
