THE PANDEMIC EFFECT

The peace was key. All my deadlines dissolved with the sound of traffic.

Into this sudden and unexpected quiet came the realisation that this was a better way to live. I could take time to care for things and people that needed care, and revel in the new freedom to think.

How to make my creative future work, and why go on making?

I want my work to count; to be made more slowly and with care. The world is full of disregarded things, and we have a responsibility not to add to an ever rising tide of waste.

As a maker I want to use my skills to share the joy of being alive.

You see? Beauty is an essential service.
