Jacqui has been a practicing craftsperson since completed her BA (Hons) degree in Woven Textiles in 1985.

She is known worldwide for her braidmaking, and has been instrumental in the introduction of kumihimo to the West. Jacqui is renowned for her creative work that pushes out the boundaries beyond the traditional.

As a maker, teacher, author and researcher she has shared her knowledge through teaching and numerous publications.

In 2005, Jacqui became a QEST scholar and in 2008 was awarded an MA (distinction) in the History of Textile & Dress from the Textile Conservation Centre. She continues to broaden her scope in analysing historic textiles, and is now recognised for her ground breaking discoveries within historic English embroidery.
