Anita Reynolds

Anita Reynolds | Printmaking | Devon

Landscape printmaker working based in Cornwall.

Anita translates her dynamic onsite sketches into semi abstracted prints in her studio in Newlyn. She predominantly makes monotypes, drypoints and collagraphs as well as 3D installations & hybrid works that combine multiple techniques.

“When producing my work I divide my time between working on site, a mix of sketching, painting and printmaking; and developing ideas back in my studio. The outside work has the excitement and vigorous marks that are a result of an emotional response to place. Rapidly changing light and weather conditions require me to work quickly, forcing me to focus on the essential details. Whereas the studio is where memory, compositional processes and techniques kick in, it is also a great place to have a really good think.”
