Mosaic Letter Making for Children

Workshop with Michelle McQuinn

Wednesday 16 August 2023, 10am - 12pm

£5

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: Children & Families

Level: Beginner

Join Michelle McQuinn for a creative workshop suitable for children and families.

Learn how to make a small mosaic tile to take home!

During the workshop you will learn how to cut and lay mosaic tiles onto your chosen design using mosaic nippers. You will learn the importance of contrasting colours when choosing your own personal colours and how to lay the tiles in a jig-saw method onto your design. On the day you can make a piece with your own personal initials or choose a simple motif like a star, heart or bird. When you have stuck all your mosaic pieces down there will be a grouting demo to show you the importance of finishing off your mosaic with grout.

Each ticket purchased will provide enough materials to make one mosaic letter for one attendee.

We ask that children under the age of 11 are accompanied by an adult and have hands-on support.

Workshop capacity: 10 attendees plus accompanying adults.

On the Day
