Children & Families Workshop

Friday 2 August 2024, 10.30am - 12.30pm

£5

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: 8+

Level: All Abilities

Come and have a go at making a linocut print!

In this workshop you will learn how to design, cut and print a linocut. We will look at some example prints and then create a simple design based on natural forms that will be printed on our printmaking press using colour inks.

Due to the tools and materials used, this workshop is aimed at children aged 8 years and older.

We also ask that children under the age of 11 years old are accompanied by an adult and have hands on support, as lino cutting tools are sharp and need to be handled with care

All equipment and materials will be provided.

This workshop is open to young people aged 8 years +.

Please note that we will be using craft knives as part of this workshop!

On the Day

All tools and materials will be provided.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are included and will be available on the day. Our Café is also open should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the workshop.

On arrival, please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.

Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces. Click here for more information on our location and car parking for the day.
