Family ink marbling and Japanese Bound Bookmaking - Children & Families Workshop

Join Rachel O'Connell of Rocworx for a morning of Suminagashi, Japanese ink marbling.

Adults and teenagers (aged 11+ years) will create beautiful patterns together, learn about the history of this endangered heritage craft and use their patterns to make a Japanese stitch bound book and origami folded bookmark

No previous experience of paper marbling is necessary.

This workshop is open to young people aged 11 years old and above + an accompanying adult.

This is a Teenager & Families workshop and therefore x1 ticket purchase = a place on the workshop for x1 adult and x1 child to take part together.

All children must be accompanied by an adult for the workshop duration.

All tools and materials will be provided.

This workshop has been generously funded by the D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust in partnership with the Heritage Crafts Association & Southwest Heritage Trust.  If you have prior knowledge that you can no longer attend the workshop, please do get in touch with us as we can then offer your ticket to someone on our waiting list.
