Family Printmaking - Come and Explore Print and Paper!
MAKE Southwest and Double Elephant Printmaking Workshop invite you to explore printmaking and paper in this 'taster' workshop open to both adults and children.
Double Elephant tutors, Rosie Stiling and Simon Ripley, will lead a ‘taster’ workshop exploring the techniques of monoprint and paper weaving.
Participants will make prints on a variety of papers and then explore some simple weaving techniques to combine with found papers and textures.
There will be an opportunity to embellish woven papers with printing stamps.
There are two workshop timeslots to choose from:
10.30am - 12.00pm
1.30pm - 3.00pm
No previous experience of printmaking is necessary and all materials and tools will be provided.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the workshop duration.
Please note: one ticket denotes enough materials for one workshop participant - we are happy for parents to accompany children without a ticket, or to purchase a ticket and join in!
This workshop coincides with our latest exhibition PULP, and Double Elephant's Paper & Print Project.
On the Day
All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear old clothes.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits are included and will be available on the day. Our Café is also open should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the workshop.
On arrival, please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.
Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces. Click here for more information on our location and car parking for the day.
