Drawing for Inspiration

Workshop with Sarah Chapman

Saturday 13 April 2024, 10.30am - 3.30pm

£65

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: Adults

Level: All abilities

Join Sarah Chapman, alumni of the Royal Drawing School and founder of dRAWing Space, for this one-day experimental drawing workshop to explore different ways of finding inspiration through drawing.

Divided into two parts, the morning session will involve drawing from observation and experimenting with different types of mark-making.

We will look at the work of other artists who incorporate modes of drawing within their craft, either as a way of exploring and mapping ideas or using mark-making directly within their work.

In the afternoon, we will take a more experimental approach to develop our drawings further, using methods of storytelling, collage and abstraction processes.

This workshop is open to all abilities.

Materials supplied:

A2 paper, black ink, brushes, charcoal, soft/oil pastels and graphite pencils.

Participants are welcome to bring their own materials to use during the session.
