Join Pulp exhibitor James Lake for a free sculpture workshop where you will make your favourite trainer out of cardboard!
James will help your design and construct a 3D replica of your chosen trainer or shoe.
You will learn how to build and construct from observation using simple joining techniques - skills which can be used for other art & design projects!
This workshop is aimed at teenagers aged between 13 - 16 years old and is particularly suited to young people who are studying art & design courses at school or College.
Bring your own favourite pair of trainers or shoes to work from!
Please note: hot glue guns will be used during this workshop. and all participants will be inducted on safe handling and use!
On the Day
All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear old clothes!
Soft drinks and water will be available on the day. Our Café is opening in January 2024 should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the workshop.
On arrival, please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.
Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces. Click here for more information on our location and car parking for the day.
