Join willow weaver and MAKE Southwest Maker Member, Vivienne Turner, for a drop-in willow weaving session as part of Bovey Tracey’s Great Big Green Week Event.

Vivienne will talk you through how to weave a simply-designed swift made out of extremely versatile natural material, willow. This session is a drop-in session, so you can turn up as and when you please (between 10.30am - 2.30pm), but please be aware it will take roughly 45 minutes to make a willow bird.

Great Big Green Week (GBGW) is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. This nationwide celebration runs 9 - 16 June this year and will see people across the country come together to take positive climate action with their communities.

There will be a number of activities happening with various organisations and community groups throughout this week, so make sure you keep an eye out! We’ll have a special GBGW themed self-guided activity available for the week in our Discover Making craft activity area of our Jubilee Gallery - a fab free activity for kid’s to do after school!

Bovey Tracey’s GBGW Event on Saturday 15 June is the highlight of the week with an array of stalls and information about local community groups, free kids’ activities, a tree trail, pilates and even a smoothie bike!
