Christmas Craft Activity

Come and have a go at making a simple macrame plant holder – the perfect stocking filler!

You will be guided through the various steps by Lizzie, one of our volunteers here at MAKE Southwest. All materials are provided in our Discover Making Space.

Macramé is a form of textile produced using knotting techniques (rather than weaving or knitting) to create decorative and functional items. It uses cords or ropes, and does not require extra tools like hooks or needles, making it an accessible craft for beginners.

We recommend giving yourself 45 mins – 1 hr to complete a finished plant holder. Though if you are short of time, you are welcome to take away your hanger to finish at home.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
