Nicky Barton

Nicky Barton | Jewellery | Devon

Based on Dartmoor, Nicky Barton designs and creates jewellery that draws directly from nature. The surfaces, structures, and textures of the landscape inform her work, allowing her to transform elements of the natural environment into finely crafted and wearable pieces.

As an environmentalist she uses recycled silver and gold, any gemstones she uses are ethically sourced. She is a member of the Green Maker Initiative, trying to improve her environmental impact yearly.

Her recent collection is inspired by the Honey Fungus (Armillaria mellea). She became excited by the rhizomorph’s structure, casting from them, and using their flowing forms to create visually exciting fluent and dynamic collection.

She received a DYCP Arts Council Grant for jewellery development 2025 and has a 1st Class Hons Degree (3D Design) and an MA in Photography.
