Gillian studied fine art at Bath Academy of Art and then a year of theatre design at Sadlers Wells but has been working as a jewellery designer/maker now for 30 years.
She works in silver, copper and brass enjoying the combination of colours and mixing the base with the precious metal. She produces two ranges, figurative, with flora and fauna designs and also a geometric abstract range with contrasting shapes in different metals in a piece.
Many designs are patinated and painted to add subtle colour. Semi precious and vintage beads are often used too.
She makes earrings, necklaces, bangles and bracelets and brooches.
She is a long standing member of MAKE Southwest (formerly Devon Guild of Craftsmen) and works from her attic studio in Bristol.
