Jodie Crook-Giles is a maker specialising in contemporary wheel-thrown tableware.
Her ceramics are elegant and functional, hand crafted from stoneware clay, glazed in neutral colours, and fired to 1270℃.
Jodie completed a two-year pottery apprenticeship at Studio 45 with Richenda Macgregor and Raphy Seck, assisting pottery courses with Ruthanne Tudball, Linda Bloomfield and Imogen Taylor-Noble.
She teaches throwing and glazing courses at Coombe Farm Studios, taught pottery at Studio45, and makes dinnerware for the Old Library restaurant. Jodie now works from her garden studio (#megashed) which she built with her husband Tim.
She sells work direct via her website and via an honesty pottery shop in the hedge in Holne on Dartmoor, ‘The World’s Smallest Pottery Shop' (probably).
