Bookbinder Megan Stallworthy makes sketchbooks, notebooks and bespoke books, with handmade, watercolour and pattern papers, leather, vellum and linen.
Each book is made by hand using traditional bookbinding techniques and archival materials, with a contemporary feel. Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of paper, linen and leather, Megan aims to make books that feel calm and subtle, brought to life by areas of colour, pattern or texture. She loves to explores the tactile nature of books, focusing on the magical feeling of a book in your hands and the movement of the turning pages.
Megan studied Bookbinding in Brighton over 30 years ago, and have been making and repairing books and teaching bookbinding ever since.
