Becky makes intricate joyful wire work and mobiles in her garden studio between Dartmoor and the sea. She uses mainly copper, brass, and silver-plated wires, combined with other materials including painted paper, driftwood and plastic. Her main motivation is to bring smiles to faces, to illustrate moments of happiness in time.

Much of her inspiration comes from her young daughter, and stories they make up together. Her love of nature and the natural world are also strong themes in her work.

Tiny paper figures often feature in her work, as well as gold paper shapes adding depth with shimmer and colour highlights.

Becky has been playing with wire for as long as she remembers; her dad let her loose on his tools when she was tiny, bought her pliers and gave her bits of wire and metal from his garage and even gave her his favourite hammer. Doing anything other than making things for a living was never really an option!

She sees making wire pieces as an extension of her drawing which she often does obsessively.

She has made many customer specific commissions and these are welcomed.
