- Meander with the River Bovey on walk through the woods
- Take part in creative drawing activities inspired by the river environment
- Learn what is going on in your catchment to mitigate flood risk
Join Ian Wilkins (MAKE Southwest) & Emily Tyack (Dartmoor Headwaters Project) for a creative ramble around Yarner woods. We will stop at several locations to talk and explore the headwater environment using some playful and fun drawing activities.
We will then return to the Woodland Centre for water inspired mono printmaking workshop!
This activity is aimed at children aged 7 - 14 years, but is also open to the whole family.
Please note: x1 booked ticket is for x1 participant to take part in the drawing activities and concluding printmaking workshop. We do however welcome additional family members to join us as spectators.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult for the duration.
All materials and equipment will be provided for the walk and workshop activities.
Clothing:
Please can all participants bring / wear the following clothing:
• Wellies (non-negotiable as we will be splashing about in the water!)
• Waterproof clothes – trousers and coat
• Change of socks
• Warm layers

Please park outside the Woodland Centre where our walk will begin (there is a voluntary £3.00 parking charge):

Refreshments ( Tea, Coffee, juice and biscuits) will be will be provided during our break, but you may wish to bring a packed lunch or additional snacks for the morning.
