Join MAKE Southwest Education Manager, Ian Wilkins, to learn the basics of screen printing, using paper stencils.

Learn the art of screen-printing and how to create simple and bold designs using this traditional technique.

Participants will create a collaborative design and print it onto fabric which will eventually be made into a flag and displayed in Bovey Tracey High Street during Great Big Green Week 2025. Though participants won’t come away with their own print to enjoy, they will have learnt a new skill, unleashed their creativity, and contributed to a lovely community project.

We’ll be using water-based inks that should wash out easily and we will provide all attendees with an apron, however, we advise wearing clothes willing to get messy.

Please note that we will be using craft knives and scissors as part of this workshop!

On the Day

All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear clothes willing to get messy.

On arrival, please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.

Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces. Click here for more information on our location and car parking for the day.
