Sew Recycled Knits

Workshop with SarahB

Friday 28 February 2025, 10:30am - 4:30pm

£80

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: Adults

Level: All Abilities

Bring one or two jumpers or T-shirts (preferably all wool or all cotton if you can) to our workshop where MAKE Southwest Maker Member SarahB will show you many exciting items made from repurposed cloth. You will be shown and taught tips and tricks for working and embellishing stretch fabric before choosing what to create using MAKE’s Janome sewing machines.

Options range from an egg cosy to a sleep mask so do join us for a busy day involving surface pattern design, appliqué, free machine embroidery and the hand stitching of knits into beautiful new pieces to wear or to give as gifts. If you can supply your own fabric scissors please bring them. Wool knits will be supplied too so it's not a problem if you don't have any.

This workshop is open to all abilities.

All tools and materials will be provided.

Participants must be aged 18 years +
