£15

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: 15+

Level: All Abilities

Calling all GCSE and A-level Art, Craft, or Design students...

Come and join us for a full-day drawing and linocut workshop to help build your skills and enhance your coursework projects!

We will start the day in our Jubilee Gallery; using our Maker Member Show 2024 to complete some short observational drawing activities. There will be time to look around, make notes, and reference any works that relate to your own coursework.

We will then head upstairs and spend the rest of the day learning how to design, cut and print a colour linocut based on a visual idea from the gallery activity, or something already developed in your current coursework project.

All of these workshop sessions are conducted in a warm, supportive, and friendly manner. It's also a great way to meet other creative students from different schools or colleges!

We encourage participants to bring along drawings, photographs, or sketchbooks to help with idea development throughout the day.

There will be a 45 min lunch break . Participants are welcome to bring a packed lunch or purchase refreshments from our café. There are also several places to buy lunch on the local High Street.

This workshop will be led by MAKE Southwest Education Manager Ian Wilkins.

All equipment and materials will be provided.

We ask that participants bring along source materials : photographs, drawings / sketches, current sketchbooks, or two-dimensional work from their current school or college coursework to help with idea development.
