Marble a Christmas Bauble
Workshop with ROCWORX
Tuesday 12 November 2024, 10.30am - 4pm
£80
Venue: MAKE Southwest
Suitable for: Adults
Level: Beginners
If you love colour and pattern, you’ll love the mindful endangered heritage craft of marbling.
In this full day workshop, you will marble on paper, learning basic patterns, to build a complex pattern to marble your own beautiful Christmas bauble and decoration papers. After lunch, whilst your bauble dries, we will use your marbled papers to create a Christmas gift box, cards and gift tags.
This workshop is a self-treat, a chance to step away from the hectic preparations leading up to Christmas and play with colour and pattern.
Your tutor, Rachel O’Connell, is a multi-media marbling artist and leatherworker. She has over 30 years marbling experience and has work in independent retailers, galleries and national museums. She is a tutor for West Dean College and runs workshops in schools, galleries and museums throughout the UK.
No previous experience of paper marbling is necessary.
All tools and materials will be provided.
Participants must be aged 18 years
