Make a Chopping Board

Workshop with Jo Weaden

POSTPONED

Friday 29 November 2024, 10.30am - 1.30pm

£50

Venue: MAKE Southwest

Suitable for: Adults

Level: All Abilities

Join MAKE Southwest member Jo Weaden for a workshop where you will make your very own chopping board - the perfect Christmas gift for a friend or family member!

Using a series of selected hand tools you will be creating individual chopping boards from English hardwood offcuts, such as oak, ash and sycamore from the Studio Arvor workshop.

Through designing, shaping and oiling the chopping boards, Jo will help you to learn how best to use certain hand tools and build confidence in doing so.

Woodworking environments can sometimes be seen as a bit daunting and male-dominated, Jo aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for people with little to no prior experience of woodworking.

No previous woodworking experience is necessary.

All tools and materials will be provided for the day.

This workshop has been postponed. If you would like to register your interest and be notified when we are taking bookings for a new date, please email ian@makesouthwest.org.uk.
