Join British textile artist & designer Margo Selby for a Colour Winding Workshop!

This workshop will explore the interaction of colour through the creation of yarn windings.

Yarn windings are created by the simple action of wrapping coloured threads around a piece of card or wood and are often used by weavers to consider the juxtaposition of colour. As well as being a tool for design, yarn windings can become beautiful miniature artworks in themselves. Under Margo’s guidance participants will create one or more windings which explore ideas relating to stripe, proportion, as well as colour theory.

Suitable for all abilities - no previous experience of weaving or colour winding is necessary.

This workshop coincides with our Jubilee Gallery exhibition: '20 Years in the Making' - a celebration of 20 years of the Craft Festival.
